Growing up the daughter of a professional dancer, Laura started studying tap, jazz, and ballet by age 4 — with tap being her true passion. Adding the skill of acting to the mix, Laura then began her training with Los Angeles acting coach, Kerrie Keane. Finding that comedy was a strength of hers, Laura also studied improv with the Groundlings.

After receiving her B.A. in Theatre Arts from Cal State University, Northridge, Laura began working in regional musical theatre and cabaret, finding a deep love with live performance. She debuted her first one-woman cabaret show at the Los Angeles venue Gardenia to excellent reviews. She continued creating shows, which allowed her to travel and perform throughout Los Angeles and New York.

During this time, she also had the great honor of performing as the opening act for jazz legend Jack Sheldon. As Laura had previously had some opportunities to record scores for various original musical theatre productions, she felt it was time to step back into the recording studio with her own projects.

Shortly after, she produced two albums: “He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not” and “Also Dances” (A Tribute to the Great Dancers of Film). After the release of her second album, Laura found herself with some opportunities to work in two independent shorts and a TV pilot. Upon completion of the TV pilot Ganymede Pan, she decided to include on-camera work in her career pursuit.

Following were a few more film opportunities, which were an absolute delight to work on, especially the comedies. Shortly after these projects, Laura was approached about being the title character of a comedy web-series which would be a vehicle for her, and which would include a musical number.

The show – This is Laura –was seen on Amazon Prime. Now, returning to her roots on stage, Laura recently debuted her new show Back in Business, directed by Bruce Kimmel, at Feinstein’s at Vitello’s.
