A couple of weeks ago, I went to hear my good friend Julie Esposito sing at Cafe 322. She generously offered to let me sit in with her awesome trio that night to perform a couple of numbers. After I did, the owner approached me and asked if I would be interested in coming in on February 12th to open for Jack Sheldon. After hesitating no more than a quarter of a second (come to think of it, I may have answered before he even finished the question), I said a most definite “yes”. Karen Hernandez, who was recently honored by L.A.’s Women in Jazz (and rightfully so) will be accompanying me on piano that evening, from 6:00 – 7:30pm. The restaurant serves Italian cuisine (and it’s excellent — just had dinner there the other night) and parking is very easy. www.cafe322.com Definitely come by and say hi.
